Electronic ballast with excellent cooling system will lead to better lighting environment and long service life. First all of, high efficiency is the most important part of electronic ballast cooling, which will save energy and release less heat. All the cooling methods are base on efficiency and the energy loss.

The energy loss will cause the temperature grows higher and higher until the ballast broken.
Ballast should have a cooling system for protection.

NO. ONE
The case is the most important part of cooling system.
Ballast case should be made of alumina and with large cooling area.
Alumina has good thermal conductivity
The higher power loss will need larger cooling area.
As ballast with large size and heavy weight is hard to shipping, some indoor used ballast will add air-cooling fan

Add small air-cooling fan
Air cooling fan make ballast cooler a lot on a small size and weight than the ballast without fan.
Higher power current, faster air flow but will cause more noise.
Best choice is small maglev fan, which long serve life and silence.

The filler in ballast is important either with or without fan, which should make circuit component stable and conduct heat. Silica gel is the better choice than bitumen
When ballast without fan, the silica gel has better thermal conductivity than air should filled more silica gel.
When ballast with fan, should filled less silica gel to make sure the air flow.
